Christians in the Age of Outrage
by Ed Stetzer | Book Summary
Author: Ed Stetzer |
Christians are both the recipients of and contributors to the outrage growing in our culture. In order for Christians to live faithfully in the world, believers must understand what is fueling the outrage and how to engage it. Retreat and inaction are not biblical options for the faithful, so Christians must think deeply on how to cut through the noise of the anger and meet a lost world with compassion and truth. It is important that "Christians move from contributing to the age of outrage to effectively engaging it with the gospel" (p. xvii). In order for this to happen, Christians must shape their worldview by the gospel, not give in to rage, and see the world with compassion, grace, empathy, and humility. |
