Cornelius Plantinga, Jr. is Senior Research Fellow at the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship and president emeritus of Calvin Theological Seminary. He served as professor (1979-1996) and president (2001-2011) at Calvin Theological Seminary, and from 1996 to 2001 he served as Dean of the Chapel at Calvin University.
Plantinga writes for the Worship Institute and participates in its major events as a speaker or as a host for other speakers. For over a decade, he co-hosted a summer seminar for preachers on reading for preaching in connection with The Center for Excellence in Preaching at Calvin Theological Seminary. His books include Not the Way It's Supposed to Be; Discerning the Spirits (with Sue A. Rozeboom); Reading for Preaching; and Beyond Doubt.
He is married to Kathleen. They have two sons, two daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren.
