Hinge Moments

Author: D. Michael Lindsay |
"Your personal qualities and character are like hinges on a door: they will either be strong and ready, preparing you to pivot perfectly, or they will be feeble and so essentially useless." (p. 139) To ensure the strength of your character in those moments that are bound to come in the future, it is key to begin to break the process down in the present. To help in that process, Hinge Moments walks you through seven stages of transition. Those seven stages, which begin with discernment and end with realization, can be found in any life transition. In each of these stages, you will see how some of the greatest stories of success and transition and those who embody them are explained not by mere chance, but by an "excellent management of the transitional events in their lives" (p. 15). |
D. Michael Lindsay is an author with an impressive academic resume. After receiving his PhD in sociology from Princeton University, Lindsay served on the sociology faculty at Rice University, was president of Gordon College, and currently serves as the president of Taylor University.
