Gary Thomas received his B.A. in English literature from Western Washington University in 1984. From there he went to Vancouver, British Columbia where he studied at Regent College under J.I. Packer. He received his master's degree in systematic theology in 1988 and later was given an honorary Doctor of Divinity from Western Seminary.
He is the author of 19 published books including Sacred Marriage, Sacred Pathways, and Authentic Faith. Since the year 2000, he has been conducting Sacred Marriage Seminars and has spoken in 49 states and 8 countries.
Thomas is married and has three children. He is an avid runner who has finished eleven marathons including the Boston Marathon three times. He currently is on staff at Second Baptist Church in Houston, Texas.
