He founded Newfrontiers, a Christian movement among neo-charismatic evangelical churches extending globally to over 70 nations and through more than 1,500 churches. In 2011, he turned the leadership over to fifteen leaders to continue the work.
Virgo is known for his Bible teaching at international conferences. He hosted the Stoneleigh Bible Week and the annual Together on a Mission conference in the United Kingdom. He is the author of a number of books including God's Lavish Grace, God Knows You're Human, The Tide is Turning, and No Well-Worn Paths.
He is married to Wendy, who is also an accomplished author and speaker.
