Trevin Wax began his ministry career as a missionary to Romania, from where he draws much of the narrative in this book. He is currently the Bible and Reference Publisher for Lifeway Christian Resources. He works heavily with The Gospel Project for Students.
Wax hosts a blog at the Gospel Coalition and regularly contributes to national publishers such as The Washington Post, Religion News Service, and Christianity Today. The latter named him one of the thirty-three millennials shaping the next generation of evangelicals. He is reformed in both his theological beliefs and methodology in ministry.
His previous book, Counterfeit Gospels, is a work on rediscovering the truth of Jesus' gospel amongst all of the noise in the world around us. Trevin also wrote Clear Winter Nights and Gospel-Centered Teaching.
The author is currently a visiting professor at Wheaton College in Illinois, and is a teaching-pastor in Middle Tennessee. He is married to Corina and has three children.
