Overview:
The Apostle Paul compared the Christian life to a race (1 Co. 9:24-27). As Christian men, our goal is to run this race to win, but the world, the flesh, and the devil continually tempt us to falter as we run. How can we finish strong? Only through discipline. There are many disciplines that godly men need to pursue in order to run the race of faith, and they can be divided into disciplines of faith, life, and relationship. We need to pursue the disciplines of:
- Faith, seeking to grow in our relationship with God
- Life, being mature and responsible men in every area of life.
- Relationship, honoring God in our friendships, marriages, and parenting.
It is only when we are disciplined in these three areas that we can run this race to win and finish strong. God has given us the strength for the race through the gospel, the Word, and the Spirit. Let's run to win!
