In this series of 21 sermons, the multitude of causes of spiritual depression seen throughout a lifetime of ministry are revealed — our own temperament, besetting sin, wrong understanding of doctrines — the list goes on. A proper understanding of the Good News and God's promises for His people can counteract the snares of the devil and produce a lasting joy that is contagious to a watching world. |

Overview:
The path of the Christian is not always easy and often is marked by trials and tribulations; there are myriad obstacles that can get in the way of experiencing the joy of Christ. Spiritual depression, or a joyless Christianity, is pandemic in modern times. In addition to the pain and anguish that those walking through this condition experience, it too may be one of the leading causes of outsiders being turned off from the faith.
